Brides of Alba Series

THE HEALER by Linda Windsor - Book One

The Healer
Book One in the Brides of Alba Series

by: Linda Windsor

In the time of King Arthur, a young female healer rescues a wounded stranger and grows to love him ...but will their love bring pain or peace to their strife-torn Alba? Brenna of Gowrys has grown up in hiding - hunted by the O'Byrne clan, who fear her mother's dying prophecy, and by her own kinsmen, who expect her to lead them against their oppressors. But Brenna is a gifted healer, not a witch or a warrior queen. So she lives alone in the wilderness with her only pet wolf for company. When she rescues a stranger badly wounded from an ambush, she believes he may be the answer to her deep loneliness. Healing him comes as easy as loving him. But can their love overcome years of bitterness and hatred?

In Healer, Linda Windsor combines a knack for thorough research and the skill to draw from it judiciously in telling an engaging story. She weaves together a rich and detailed tapestry of sixth century life in Scotland. Her notes about Arthurian characters, the Grail Palace, and the bibliography are well worth reading. Linda has done her homework and written a fine story.

THIEF by Linda Windsor - Book Two

Book Two in the Brides of Alba Series
by: Linda Windsor

Exiled in shame and wounded in battle, Caden O'Byrne accepts a mission to go into enemy territory to find his healer's long-lost daughter. At worst, he'll get his death wish. At best, this could be God's second chance. But the lovely, larcenous Sorcha will have no part of him, his God, or the rescue...until a murder forces them both to run for their lives. While Caden's rekindled faith is tested, Sorcha wonders if his God is real. Add to the mix a stargazing princess, a capable dwarf, a scheming witch, an improbably beautiful eel fisherman and you have the ingredients for a surprising, page-turning tale. King Arthur's Scotland comes alive in this addictive saga of intrigue, treachery, second chances, and the liberating power of love.

"I've read and loved many of Linda Windsor's novels; Thief runs away with the prize as my absolute favorite! The conflicts are real, the characters more so, with larger-than-life Caden O'Byrne fighting body and soul to win a spirited woman worthy of his warrior's heart. Stirring romance, high adventure, and genuine faith all beat like a drum from first page to last. Once you start reading, Thief is sure to steal your every waking hour!"
